Study Sunshine Coast in conjunction with Study Queensland is delighted to bring students on the Sunshine Coast a series of FREE Employability Workshops. The workshops are designed to enhance the student experience by providing students with a range of opportunities to increase their employability and successfully transition to employment either during or post study.
Workshops open to current domestic and international Sunshine Coast students, graduates and alumni students. 

Workshop 1 – Career Planning and Goal Setting; Job Applications (Resume and Cover Letter) 

Date – Tuesday 25th February 2020
Time – 11am to 1pm
Where – E-Block at TAFE Queensland, Mooloolaba Campus. 34 Lady Musgrave Drive, Mountain Creek
What – You’ll learn how to Write a professional resume and cover letter and Career plan and goal set

Workshop 2 – Job Applications (Resume and Cover Letter) and Interview Skills

Date – Wednesday 26th February 2020
Time – 11.30am to 1.30pm

What – You’ll learn how to Write a professional resume and cover letter and learn key interview skills

Workshop 3 – Interview Skills and Preparation; Sunshine Coast and Australian Work Culture 

Date – Thursday 27th February 2020

What – Learn interview skills and how to prepare; as well as understanding the Sunshine Coast and Australian Work Culture.

Date – Wednesday 11th March

What – in this interactive workshop you will cover:

  • The importance of personal branding, articulating your value proposition and positioning yourself for the job you want
  • How you can promote yourself online via social media 
  • How employers use social media and how you can best use it too
  • The importance of listening to your prospective employers online
  • The importance of proactively managing your digital footprint and personal brand
  • The importance of a best practice LinkedIn profile and how to create one
  • What to do with LinkedIn once you have built your profile
