Meet Student Ambassador James

In our second instalment of our interview series with our new Study Sunshine Coast Ambassadors, meet James from China. James is studying a Master of Social Work at the University of the Sunshine Coast and absolutely loves living on the Sunshine Coast!

What attracted you to choose the Sunshine Coat to live, learn and kick start your future?

The beautiful natural landscape, amazing local people, and prestigious institutions, and of course, the kangaroo!

How have you found studying on the SC?

I found this place peaceful, which is perfect for me to concentrate on studying and pursuing my career.

What has been the best part of studying, living and working here on the Sunshine Coast?

Learning with students who are from diverse backgrounds, embracing cultural diversity. Live surrounded by a great number of amazing beaches on the coast. In a friendly and positive working atmosphere, everyone helps each other to achieve the same organisation goal.

What has your experience been finding work on the Sunshine Coast?

Plenty of job opportunities, if people are going to apply for a job and work hard, they will highly likely get employed.

What are the main reasons you applied to become a Study Sunshine Coast Student Ambassador?

Expand the diversity and offer assistance to as many students as I can. Help international students acclimate new environment.

Promote Sunshine Coast as a wonderful living, studying, and working destination.

What would you say to other students thinking about coming to study on the Sunshine Coast?

If you are looking for paradise, you should not miss the Sunshine Coast.

What are the people like that you’ve met on the Sunshine Coast?

They are amicable, understanding, sweet, creative, kind, and generous.
