Sunshine Coast tech star Alkira Software shines again in awards

We have some amazing entrepreneurs and businesses here on the Sunshine Coast, one of which is Alkira Software. The local tech stars made this year’s Anzac Day a special one for many who were under COVID-19 lockdown, by having more of its voice-activated technology used by the Queensland State Library to present audio recordings of WWII stories. You can watch the below video to hear about how the Anzac project came about.

Alkira has been shortlisted at 2020 Mumbrella Awards for its amazing work with voice software. The team worked with The Studio at Southern Cross Austereo and Publicis Worldwide on the Queensland Eye Institute Foundation’s fundraising art exhibition Last Seen, which has them in the running for the top media-first voice skill creators title.

The Sunshine Coast team can hopefully add this latest award to their mantelpiece after the software also won in the ‘Apps, Mobile and Voice – Education and Reference’ category of the Webby Awards earlier this year. Last Seen is a finalist in the ”Best Use of User Experience” category alongside four other finalists and the Mumbrella Awards will take place as a virtual event on 8 October 2020, so let’s tune in to see if this amazing Sunshine Coast tech genius helps put our region on the map again for tech superstars!
