The students of TAFE Queensland Mooloolaba campus were proud to present ‘Travel to the Taste’, an International culinary and destination market day on Wednesday, 5th of June 2019.
This event aimed to inspire attendees to travel the world and find their next holiday while tasting international street food from countries across the world prepared by our Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality students.
Students from the Diploma of Event Management along with students from the dual Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management organised the event as part of their studies. “Travel to the Taste” also entertained guests with a variety of cultural dance troupes and musical entertainment provided by Diploma of Music industry students and local artists.
The food prepared by our Commercial Cookery and Hospitality students was outstanding and gained great feedback from attendees. With over 300 attendees at the event the campus had a great vibe and many people were asking “when is the next one”.
Proceeds from the sale of food went to flood affected farmers through the Rural Aid organisation.
