📣 SUNSHINE COAST COVID UPDATE (11am 10 June)

There's a lot to digest so we hope this will give you the info you need.

▪️There are two cases on the Sunshine Coast. The 44-year-old woman who tested positive yesterday and her husband, who has now tested positive. There are six new cases in hotel quarantine in Queensland.

▪️The couple is in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Tests show they are at end of their infectious period.

▪️Across Queensland 9,857 tests were done yesterday and a record 11,827 vaccinations.

🤔Been to an exposure site?
There are seven sites between Goondiwindi and the Sunshine Coast visited from June 5 to 8. If you've been to a site, you need to get tested, isolate and await further instructions from Qld Health: bit.ly/355BNAw

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is opening a drive-through testing clinic at the Kawana Sports Precinct, Western Fields @ Millieu Place, Warana from Thursday until Sunday between 9am and 4pm.

💉You want the vaccine?
Over 50s can go to one of the 77 GP clinics on the coast or a government clinic. People between 40 and 49 OR in the priority groups 1a or 1b can book at a Qld Health vaccination clinic: bit.ly/3xfvVAF

👵Will vulnerable sites be locked down?
In the past we've seen hospitals, aged care, disability residential care and prisons locked down as a result of COVID-positive cases. Dr Young says that won't happen at this stage BUT if you've been at any of the exposure sites at the times listed OR you are unwell, do not visit those vulnerable sites for 14 days.
