As a Study Sunshine Coast Student Ambassador you will have one of the most important and fun jobs on the Sunshine Coast! Your role will be to showcase the beautiful Sunshine Coast to the world as the ideal destination for students to live, learn and kick start their future.

To be eligible as a Study Sunshine Coast Student Ambassador Applicant you must:

  • Be a student at an approved Sunshine Coast education institution
  • Be enrolled as a student from February 2024
  • Be aged over 18 years of age
  • Have a valid Student Visa (if an international student)
  • Be of strong reputation with an engaged and compelling social media presence
  • Love living and studying on the Sunshine Coast
  • Commit to the program for the entire duration (until December 2024)
  • Commit to approximately 3 hours per month for this program (including attendance at events and workshops, participation in activities and social media responsibilities)
  • Commit to using Study Sunshine Coast social media handles in all relevant posts

As a Study Sunshine Coast Student Ambassador you will have one of the most important and fun jobs on the Sunshine Coast! Your role will be to showcase the beautiful Sunshine Coast to the world by:

  • Posting on social media (images and video) about events, attractions and activities on the Sunshine Coast. One destination post per week using relevant Study Sunshine Coast and Study Queensland social media handles
  • Attending relevant networking and engagement events, programs and workshops
  • Attending a social media training and welcome event
  • Media appearances and interviews to promote the Sunshine Coast
  • Visit Sunshine Coast workplaces and industry
  • Attending two to four famils exploring the amazing sights and attractions on the Sunshine Coast
  • Writing blogs about your adventures and experiences on the Sunshine Coast as a student to be published across Study Sunshine Coast digital channels (minimum of two blogs and/or interviews for the duration of the program)
  • Participating in photo shoots where required

You will get to experience the Sunshine Coast like never before and explore everything the region has to offer including opportunities to:

  • Enhance your CV for future employment opportunities
  • Meet other amazing students from all over the world
  • Explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast
  • Attend SSC free student employability and connection events, , training and programs
  • Have fun experiencing the many attractions, events and sights of the Sunshine Coast
  • Gain exposure to local and national media and key Sunshine Coast influential figures and local personalities
  • Receive social media support
  • Be involved with the community and assist with event volunteering
  • Connect with key businesses, community groups and organisations
  • No remuneration or payments shall be made to Study Sunshine Coast Student Ambassadors for their involvement in the program
