Workshop a hit with students

Study Sunshine Coast industry partner AusID Global yesterday held its first of two student workshops at TAFE Queensland Mooloolaba Campus. Twenty International Students participated in the interactive workshop helping them better understand their personality traits and those of others to better assist them in life and learning.  Study Sunshine Coast has funded the workshops as part of its Student Employability Program.

The two hour workshop covered psychometric testing providing students with a greater self awareness and helping them develop strategies that will assist with their immersion into the Australian Culture and lifestyle more effectively.

Students were highly energised by the session. TAFE Queensland student Yazan said, “after this AusID workshop I have a clearer career pathway and understand what I need to work on to get myself to the next level of my life.”

“It’s fantastic to get to know myself more through AusID so I can accept myself at a different level and know how I fit in to different places, ” said Vinnie, TAFE Queensland student.

TAFE Queensland International Student Support Officer, Angie McMillan believed the workshop was of great worth to her students to help navigate study, work and play.

“The students really enjoyed it I have had lots of really enthusiastic comments about how valuable they think the program is. Thank you Study Sunshine Coast for supporting our students. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it,” she said.

The second AusID Global workshop will be held tomorrow at USC with a group of international students attending. Learn more about AusID Global.
